Mystery of the Megaflood

The Mystery of the Megaflood is a PBS documentary about the huge glacier build up after the ice age that created a huge flood that destroyed large areas of land in what is today Washington state. The floods were created by the melting/cracking of huge glaciers. The glaciers were holding back large amounts of water, but at a certain point they could not bear anymore and they cracked and released gigantic amounts of water. The floodings that occurred created what are known as the Scablands.
